Underwater Wonders

1QDrawing-picsay

I wonder. I wonder what is in the ocean, what is under it, and why? Where did it come from? Where is it going? The theory of Panspermia has never gone away and what do we really know? Infinitesimal within an endless universe, changing every moment.

What eggs lie in wait today? What hatchlings will tomorrow emerge? Will they be influenced by our dreams and desires? Will they be attuned to our fears? Will they be aware? Will they even care?

Mandalas

The mandala is a tool for gaining wisdom and compassion and generally is depicted as a tightly balanced, geometric composition wherein deities reside. The principal deity is housed in the center.

The mandala serves as a tool for guiding individuals along the path to enlightenment. Monks meditate upon the mandala, imagining it as a three-dimensional palace. The deities who reside in the palace embody philosophical views and serve as role models. The mandala’s purpose is to help transform ordinary minds into enlightened ones.

I created these this morning, on my Kindle Fire, from photos of my art work.

Paint what you love.

I love the seasons, the weather, the breath and the heartbeat of the earth, the change over, the switch between autumn’s old age and the bleak winter wherein life slows down, stops, hibernates, the festivals of stars, the everlasting, immortal stars, and the celebration of the wobble of the earth, not so extreme as to throw us all into the danger of extinction, but, to remind us of possibilities. To celebrate our good fortune. Time to rest, to contemplate, to reflect, to tell stories.

Walk through the woods, in the quiet of the afternoon or in a dream. At what moment does the season change?
